Sir Winston

I saw Mr. Churchill's image on some news site today and decided: "okey, been wanting to do his portrait, so I may as well today, for Day 29!"  This is what you call a pastel painting, done with Pan Pastels.   measures 8 x 9".

The QUEEN

My first queen, painted, that is. I have sketched them enough times. There is really a lot of fancy details that one must narrow it down in order to get a painting done within a few hours. Pleased thus far, I shall try for a more stylized approach next time!

Red Rose Tea

This I painted while at Tuesday Art today while chatting with the other artists in our group.  Someone said: "When you gonna drink your tea?" I said: "Not going to; that's my model..!"

BOLO TIE

I wanted to paint this very much, but forgot just where I put it. After looking all over the place, I found it almost by accident draped over a painting hanging in my bedroom!  Needless to say, I love this Navajo piece of jewelry
we bought years ago out in Quartsite, AZ.

Garden Of White

I kind of knew what end results I wanted to achieve when starting this today. It actually turned out nicer than I anticipated,
so:.. happy!  10 x 10" acrylics on hardboard.
Getting a decent photo, on the other hand is/was way more difficult than doing the artwork..(after 8 tries, still not quite pleased!)

"COBALT LEMON"

~ Day 14 "Cobalt Lemon" ~
When Life hands you rotten lemons, you use them in a still life.   Not that this one was rotten, just less-than-fresh.  And together with my favorite vase made a very complimentary color scheme for this 6 x 7" Oil.

"Promise of a New Day" - Oils 8 x 10"
Today is Day 3.
Skyscapes are one of my favorite things,
and it seemed fitting to do this in oils.
I enjoyed painting this, although I had a headache
most of the day.  (By the time of completion it was gone!) Probably the hardest thing was taking the photo of it, those texture highlights near the edges.
About 3/4 finished I took the photo below,
before final colors added & blended.
